The Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce and Fastenal Company are pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Thursday, February 2, at 11:30 am. Fastenal Company is now located in Thomaston at 1031 Hwy 19 North, next to Captain D's. The business hours for Fastenal Company are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. If you would like to contact the local store, you may reach Tammy or Matt by calling 706-648-1966. We hope that you will try to attend the Fastenal Company Open House and Ribbon Cutting on February 2 to see what the new location has to offer Upson and surrounding counties. |

The Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce and Mr. B's Convenience Store and Gas Station are pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony for Friday, February 3 at 2 pm. Mr. B's is located at 401 North Center Street and is owned by Bill Sing. The store is open Monday-Saturday from 6 am to Midnight and Sundays 7 am to 11 pm. Mr. B's offers full and self service options at their gas pumps. To learn more about their services, please feel free to contact them at 706-646-0068. All Chamber Members are invited to attend the Ribbon cutting so we hope to see you on February 3. |
| February 3 | The Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce and The Catfish Hole are pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony for Friday, February 3 at 4 pm. The Catfish Hole is located at 6524 Yatesville Hwy in Yatesville, Ga (located in the old Junction Restaurant) and is owned and operated by Alton and Diane Hammond. We hope that you will join us on February 3 to welcome our new Chamber Members and to help us celebrate the opening of The Catfish Hole. |

| February 11 | Daddies and daughters of all ages are invited to enjoy a special evening at the 3rd Annual Father-Daughter Dance at Westwood Christian Academy. Tickets are $30 per couple ($10 for each additional daughter) and includes entertainment by the Sweet Georgia Violins, carriage ride, 5x7 portrait, dinner, and dancing. Carriage rides and pictures will begin at 5 p.m. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. Please RSVP by calling the school office at 706-647-8131 by Friday, February 3. |

| February 16 | The Annual joint meeting with WEDA, Manufacturers Roundtable and Maintenance Roundtable will meet on February 16, 2012 at 7:30 am at Upson-Lee High School, more information will be sent out by the Committee Chairs and Vice-Chairs of these committees. |
| February 17 | The Rotary Club of Thomaston-Upson will hold it's first "Wine Tasting Soirre". The event will be held at the TUAC Gallery on the square. The time is 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm. and the cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple. (21 and over please) Our guest host, Jerry Danalchak, Wine Connoisseur with 30 years experience, will explain how to pair food with fine. There will be samples of wine from Georgia, California, France and Germany. There will be light refreshments and lots of door prizes. Money raised from this event will help support "Food for Thought", a program that helps hungry school age children in our area. | February 28 | The Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce and Pediatric Associates of Thomaston are pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for the new office of Dr. Kathy Mansfield on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:30 am. Pediatric Associates will relocate their business to 331 West Main Street in Thomaston, (the new office is located down the street from the Woodall House) the first of February. Pediatric Associates will accept Private Insurance and Self-Pay patients, same day appointments are welcomed with less than a 15 minute wait time.
